Meet the Inspiring team

The Inspiring team is a collection of multi-skilled individuals that work together with clients to unleash the potential of people, systems, and organisations.
  1. Nigel Chee, Excutive Chair
Nigel Chee is of Waikato and Whanganui descent and is one of the founders of Inspiring. He has extensive experience in health management and management consultancy. He has previously worked for the Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and PHOs, was Director and Chief Executive of a number of PHOs, and General Manager of Planning at Auckland District Health Board. He has also held various strategic planning and policy roles at the Ministry of Health and Te Puni Kōkiri. Nigel has provided leadership in Māori development locally and nationally. As a result, he has an excellent understanding of inequalities as they relate to the New Zealand context. He has a good grasp of the strategies, frameworks and tools required to contribute to the improvement of the status of Māori and other vulnerable populations. Nigel uses his strengths – which include process, facilitation, and analysis – to help guide Inspiring and other people and their organisations to achieve bigger goals, greater outputs, and better results.
  2. Lealailepule Edward Cowley – General Manager
Lealailepule Edward is of Samoan descent with a career spanning two decades in public health.
